An extremely enjoyable exhibition, at so many levels! Sometimes it is some details in the background, like the astonishing architecture in The Dream of Raphael. Or the implausibly sanitized explanation of an engraving of Christ in spasm while pleasuring himself as he wakes up / resurrects from his Crucifixion (I kid you not). And clearly public fun at the bathouse, single sex or both, had nothing to envy at the end of C15 to modern hedonism... Beautiful art, sorted from a great array of collections.
