Aktuell sind alle Tickets für die #rC3 ausverkauft. Es freut uns riesig, dass so viele von Euch teilnehmen wollen! Da dieses Event wie immer von Freiwilligen organisiert und durchgeführt wird, sind die Ressourcen begrenzt und das alles ist für uns alle ein großes Experiment.

Bitte seid Euch bewusst dass es nicht möglich ist, Infrastruktur unbegrenzt zu skalieren. Das hat mehrere Gründe, die wichtigsten sind:
1. Teile der Infrastruktur skalieren schlichtweg nicht gut (genug) vertikal.
2. Jeder Teil der Infrastruktur braucht früher oder später auch Menschen, die sie betüddeln.

Es ist schwierig abzuschätzen wie viele von Euch die Infrastruktur gleichzeitig nutzen werden – das ganze online-only-Event-Ding ist auch für uns neu. Wir haben leider keine Erfahrungswerte von vergleichbaren Events dieser Größenordnung auf die wir unsere Berechnungen stützen könnten.

Momentan prüfen wir, ob und wie es möglich ist mehr Tickets für Euch verfügbar zu machen. Wir halten Euch auf dem Laufenden!

Currently there are no tickets for #rC3 available. We are really excited to see so many of you wanting to attend. As this event is volunteer-driven as always, ressources are limited and this is all a big experiment.

Please be aware, that it’s not possible for us to scale the infrastructure infinitely. This has multiple reasons. The most important ones are:
1. Some infrastructure just doesn’t scale vertically (enough).
2. Every piece of infrastructure needs a human to pet it ocasionally.

It’s difficult to plan ahead how many of you will use the infrastructure simultaneously, the whole online-only event thingy is new for us, too. Therefore we do not have any experience from past online events at this scale that we could base our calculations on.

Right now we’re evaluating if it’s in any way possible to make more tickets available. We’ll keep you updated.
