      news.movim.eu / Korben · 2 days ago - 13:54 · 2 minutes

      pubsub.do.nohost.me / FossBytes · Monday, 15 March, 2021 - 13:40 · 1 minute

Apex Legends’ Game Director Hints For New Legend In Season 9; Could Be Japanese

Apex legends is a year old now and filled with incredible characters. With each season of Apex legends, the devs have introduced a new “Legend.” Similarly, in February 2021, Season 8 of Apex legends introduced Fuse, an offensive legend specializing in explosives.

Furthermore, the community expects a new legend in Apex Legends Season 9, scheduled to be released in May 2021. Well, Chad Grenier, Apex legends’ Game Director, hinted about the arrival of a new legend. To know more about the new legend’s tease, follow the article further.

    Apex Legends’ New Character

In an interview with the Japanese Video game magazine Famitsu , Chad Grenier revealed information about the upcoming legend. Although Grenier didn’t reveal key details, he mentioned that the new legend would be largely popular in Japan.

The interview was initially published in Japanese and was translated to English by Dexerto . Grenier said, “I like Japan, and it’s a country that plays Apex a lot. I would like to be able to deliver unique content to Japan. I mentioned Season 9 a little bit, but I hope the new legend in Season 9 will be liked in Japan. Thank you for your support. You can finally play Switch.”

Note: The above comment is a translation, which was originally published in Japanese.

Uniquely, some names relating to the new legend have also surfaced, like Blisk, Ash, and Valk. Grenier’s comments on the new legend shed some light on its background. However, officially, it’s not confirmed if the new legend will hail from Japan. There’s another possibility that the upcoming Apex Legends character will only draw some inspiration from the Japanese culture.

Moreover, it’s only been a few days since Apex Legends got released for Nintendo Switch . The gaming console dominates the Japanese video game market. So, it wouldn’t be surprising if the studio is working on a Japanese character for Apex Legends.

Other than this, the details around Apex legends Season 9 are still unclear. As to what major changes the new season will bring to the game, among other things.

Apex Legends For Nintendo Switch Released; Here Are The Initial Reviews

      pubsub.do.nohost.me / FossBytes · Sunday, 14 March, 2021 - 15:08 · 2 minutes

Apex Legends For Nintendo Switch Released; Here Are The Initial Reviews

Initially released for PC, Playstation , and Xbox , Apex Legends is undoubtedly one of the best battle royale games. On March 9, 2021, Apex Legends became the latest cross-platform title ported to Nintendo’s handheld console, Nintendo Switch .

The cross-platform gameplay offered by Apex Legends enables Nintendo Switch players to enjoy the game with PC, Xbox, and Playstation players. Now, all of this surely sounds wonderful, but there are a few catches. There are mixed reviews within the community about Apex Legends’ Switch version. Let’s shed some light on players’ issues with the new version of Apex Legends for Nintendo Switch.

Issues With Apex Legends Nintendo Switch

    Field of View (FOV)

FOV is the observable area a player can see through the screen. Players can adjust the FOV values from 70-110. The higher the FOV, the more the player will see on their screen and vice-versa. However, in the Switch version of Apex Legends, players will not get the option to change the FOV. This is a downgrade, especially for the players who will switch to Nintendo from other platforms.

We believe that developers didn’t implement the FOV slider to control the FPS drop, as a higher FOV means unstable FPS in-game. For the same reason, the FOV for Apex Legends Switch is capped at 70.

    Lower FPS

Many players took to Twitter to complain about the low FPS issue with Apex Legends on Nintendo Switch. One of the reasons could be the bad optimization of Apex Legend’s Nintendo Switch version.

However, it’s only been a few days since Respawn Entertainment released the Nintendo Switch version of Apex Legends. So, the FPS issue with the game isn’t that shocking. Furthermore, future updates for Apex Legends Switch will probably fix issues with the game.

    Graphics

Apex Legends’ graphics on Nintendo Switch are inferior to that of PC, Xbox, and Playstation. While the compression of graphics to suit the compatibility of Nintendo Switch is done amazingly, some players complained that the graphics are a bit blurry. Understandably, Nintendo Switch is a handheld console with limited capability, unlike PC, Playstation, or Xbox.

    Conclusion

All things considered, Nintendo Switch can’t be compared with other consoles in terms of games’ performance. Nintendo Switch is a smaller, compact console with lesser capability than Xbox, Playstation, and PC. While some of the players may prefer the PC, Playstation, or Xbox version of Apex Legends, some may prefer the Switch version, even after its flaws.
