While campaigning for the by-election in the Belle-Rose & Quatre Bornes constituency 18, the first support to bring, from people to the people, is to enhance the constituency street mapping on OSM (OpenStreetMap).

Yesterday afternoon, we have been able to add about 7 new residential roads, and the Quatre Bornes State Secondary School.

The issue here is that the school visibility is very low on OSM. Supermarkets have a better visibility rank than the Quatre Bornes SSS !

Talking with the OSM community, it seems that in other countries they do not have this kind of issue, because school are big enough ...

In fact, most of the OSM Community does not need flags to make a school visible, the school grounds are big enough for the school to be visible. However, in Mauritius, school grounds are often smaller than our shopping centers & shopping malls !

This tells a lot on the madness of our system/politics/society !
