      TooFast.vip Artwork BALLOON

      𝖈𝖍𝖚𝖓𝖐 · pubsub.toofast.vip / graphic-art · Friday, 10 November - 06:16 edit

Greetings! Today I've made some more art I want to share with the XMPP people! Today I said, geez, I feel like making some graphic art, as I felt creative after talking to a guy in IRC about how computing as a hobby for me is all about creativity. So I went and found basically the first image I thought I could make look cool and write some graphical text onto :D Here's what I came up with:

    toofast.in.the.park.png

    • this one ^ I used another person's artwork, as the apartment building and the woman, and the backdrop basically, is a different art that I've of course modified with filters and color changes and stuff. I do not know who originally illustrated it, but the filters make it look surreal I think ^^

    and

Yea cool, so I, I like to make art once in a while, playing around in Gimp. Later tonight what I'd like to do is work on Round #2 of me customizing better CSS for this web app (TooFast.vip). I will make, aha, yet another fun to make post about it later if I end up doing that!

My Updated BMW M3 Style - Screenshots

      𝖈𝖍𝖚𝖓𝖐 · pubsub.toofast.vip / chunkz-warez · Tuesday, 7 November - 09:39

This is ILL as F !!!

Stoked for this game! NFS Unbound! Back in high school days, playing NFS Underground on the original XBox I could sorta see that games were becoming totally really cool. One of the aspects of games that didn't exist back then, that exists now, is open world concept. Also the radical and extensive customization of your in game things. Notably, vehicles are a big subject for far out levels of customization.

Now in NFS Unbound it definitely appears to follow with the times as far as actually really worthwhile game concepts/features. I like NFS games always because of the ridiculous speed "feeling" when you play it. Well, recently I practiced some good amount, and tried to be somebody, lol, I'm still not winning races but I've tuned up my two main cars. My main main car is this BMW M3 that I've had for quite a while and this past evening I added a couple of literally brilliant decals on it and it looks totally sick as fuck. Check it out:

      2,000 fonts for Debian

      pubsub.slavino.sk / bits.debian.org · Friday, 17 December, 2021 - 17:45 · 1 minute

    fnt

Debian comes with tons of fonts for all kinds of purposes, you can easily list them (almost) all with: apt-cache search ^fonts- .

However, sometimes they are not in their latest version, or as a user you would like to get access to new fonts that are not present in Debian stable yet.

With the tool fnt you can easily preview, and install fonts from Debian sid and Google Web Fonts (that's about 2,000 fonts that are DSFG compliant). Any user can use the tool to install fonts only for the user itself, or the system administrator can run it as root to install the fonts system wide.

The package fnt is already in Bookworm, so if you run Debian testing you can use it to get, test and use many fonts that are in their way of being packaged in Debian:

    ITP #973779 fnt install scheherazadenew
    RFP #944140 fnt install arsenal
    RFP #757249 fnt install ekmukta
    RFP #724629 fnt install firasans
    RFP #766211 fnt install orbitron
    RFP #803690 fnt install pompiere
    RFP #754784 fnt install raleway
    RFP #827735 fnt install reemkufi
    RFP #986999 fnt install redhat{display,mono,text}

"Homeworld" will be the default theme for Debian 11

      pubsub.slavino.sk / bits.debian.org · Thursday, 12 November, 2020 - 12:30

The theme "Homeworld" by Juliette Taka has been selected as default theme for Debian 11 'bullseye'. Juliette says that this theme has been inspired by the Bauhaus movement, an art style born in Germany in the 20th century.

After the Debian Desktop Team made the call for proposing themes , a total of eighteen choices have been submitted. The desktop artwork poll was open to the public, and we received 5,613 responses ranking the different choices, of which Homeworld has been ranked as the winner among them.

This is the third time that a submission by Juliette has won. Juliette is also the author of the lines theme that was used in Debian 8 and the softWaves theme that was used in Debian 9.

We'd like to thank all the designers that have participated and have submitted their excellent work in the form of wallpapers and artwork for Debian 11.

Congratulations, Juliette, and thank you very much for your contribution to Debian!

Great fonts in Debian 10 (or later)

      Gürkan Myczko · pubsub.slavino.sk / bits.debian.org · Tuesday, 9 June, 2020 - 11:00

An example of several fonts in Debian 10

Debian comes with tons of fonts for all kinds of purposes, you can easily list them all (almost) with: apt-cache search ^fonts-

Above you can see a nice composition with examples of several fonts. The composition is published under the MIT (Expat) license and the source SVG (created with Inkscape) can be downloaded here . You will need the fonts to be installed in your system so the SVG is correctly rendered.

If you want to learn more you can have a look at the wiki page about fonts ( https://wiki.debian.org/Fonts ), and if you want to contribute or maintain fonts in Debian, don't hesitate to join the Fonts Team !
