      The inglorious loitering gang

This is the story of my Loitering Gang idea that I had some 10+ years ago.

It's purpose is as obscure humor and is not intended to be enacted for fear that one might get ridiculed beyond comprehension. Which makes it just that much more funny to me.

From the movie Jay and Silent Bob

The loitering gang has a rule. As a member you are not allowed to cuss and swear or act like a punk. The members are supposed to actually chill and friendly so that when in the sport of loitering onseers might be unoffended by the loitering gang or at least easier to deal with if they must revolt against the activities of the loitering gang. This enables more longevity of the sport and the locations performed at.

The gang organizes to loiter on a schedule like any other sport and incentives to keep showing might include wearing a certain kind of attire for example a snowboarding suit with goggles and all on a fair weather spring day, or all with mohawks or all with sunglasses, and other ideas are maybe showing up on bikes, or with dogs. The gang leader which is the voted best actor from the previous season has the option to create any fun modification they choose that doesn't impose serious public offence or offence to the casual nature of the loitering activity.

The gang would consist of anywhere between 2 and 6 members and there is tryouts every once in a while during the season. If a tryout is accepted into the loitering gang they will have the option to pick their first spot to loiter. Spots where the gang will loiter might be similar to the doorway in the grocery store, semi-busy walkways, in front of the parking meter machine in downtown parking lots and generally low to medium traffic areas of convenience for the general public where the gang would either be obstructive, but not entirely, or otherwise awkward to be seen or passed by.

In any one season if anybody acheives a vagrancy charge from bylaw or police officers they gain that season's MVP (most valuable player) award, which can be made of anything declared by the gang leader, and get a free pizza.

That's the gist. I've been telling that story years and years because I lol at it. Most people have a hard time laughing at it and they tend to go "heh" with a look of having received an obscure thing. As to be expected. Does this classify as dry humor? Or is it just straight weird lol
