Wir suchen Sessions, Engel und Maps.
Damit das erste DiVOC in diesem Jahr ein Erfolg wird, brauchen wir drei Dinge: Engel, Self-organized Sessions und Maps. Daher kommen hier drei Aufrufe in einem Paket. Und wir haben Merch !

Call for Maps

Die rc3-World war toll und für die r2r wollen wir in kleinerem Maß daran anknüpfen, daher wird es bei der #r2r eine World mit Lobby geben. Wenn ihr eine oder mehrere Karten beitragen und mit der Lobby verbinden wollt, meldet euch per Mail bei welt@diese-welt-ist-schlecht.de .
Gebt dabei bitte deine/euren Hackspace/eure Gruppe/dein Projekt, den Link unter dem deine/eure Map erreichbar ist und den Eingangslayer, den wir verwenden sollen an. Wir tragen eure Map und den Link, den ihr zum Rücksprung in die Lobby verwenden müsst, hier ein .
Selbstverständlich sind eurer Kreativität keine Grenzen gesetzt, egal ob ihr euren Hackspace nachbaut, eure Karte von der rc3 wiederverwendet oder was ganz neues schafft, alles ist willkommen.
Wenn ihr auf euren Maps ein jitsi/BBB als Treffpunkt habt, denkt bitte daran dies auch auf der Liste im Wiki für SOS oder Treffpunkte einzutragen, weil nicht alle Teilnehmer über die World bzw. eure Maps hineingehen möchten oder können.

DiVOC: Call for Watchamacallit

tl;dr:

We’re looking for sessions, angels, and maps. To make the first DiVOC this year a full success, we need three things: angels, self-organized sessions, and maps. Therefor, here are three calls in one. And we have merch !

Call for Maps

The rC3 world was great, and for r2r we’d like to continue it on a smaller scale, so r2r will have a lobby. If you’d like to contribute one or more maps and hook them up to the lobby, please mail us at welt@diese-welt-ist-schlecht.de . Please let us know your hack space/group/project, the link your map is hosted at, and the start layer we should be linking to. We’ll add your map and the link you need to place in your map to return to the lobbry here .

Obviously, there is no limited to your creativity, whether you are recreating your hack space, reuse your rC3 map, or create something new – everything is welcome!

If you have a Jitsi or BBB room in your map as a meeting place, please also add this to the wiki as a self-organized session or meeting place, respectively, since not all participants can or would like to get there through the world.

For the fashion-conscious participants there will be merch again this year. T-shirts, hoodies, zippers, shorts & sweatpants are available in the R2R design.

Nun ist es genau ein Jahr her, dass uns die Pandemie in die Party gegrätscht ist. Das Digital Verteilte Online-Chaos ( DiVOC ) Jährt sich zum ersten Mal unter dem Motto Reboot to Respawn (R2R) und ermöglicht es uns einen Ort im Netz zu haben, um uns zu treffen und uns auszutauschen. Gerahmt wird das Ganze von Karfreitag bis Ostermontag (02.04. – 05.04.2021) mit einem Programm aus Vorträgen, Kunst und Musik.  :-)

Damit ihr wie gewohnt ungestört und unüberwacht kommunizieren könnt wird es auch wieder eine Telefoninfrastruktur geben, die technisch der des rC3 entsprechen wird. Die Registrierung der Nebenstellen ist bereits geöffnet.

Es werden SIP , Announcement und Eventphone Decentralized DECT Infrastructure (EPDDI) zur Verfügung stehen.

Für Chaos Studios, Hackerspaces & Chaostreffs stellen wir eine kleine Anzahl an RFPs (Antennen) zur Verfügung. Wie immer brauchen wir dafür zuverlässige Ansprechpartner*innen die sich um den Versand kümmern und sicherstellen, dass wir die Antennen auch nach dem Event sicher zurückbekommen. Wenn du eine EPDDI Zelle betreiben möchtest, lies dir die EPDDI Doku durch und stelle einen passenden Router bereit.  Wenn das der Fall ist, melde dich unter poc ‘at’ eventphone.de. Der Versand findet am 22.03.2021 statt.

Ab 22.03.2021 wird auch spätestens die Telefoninfrastruktur laufen.

Free long distance calls at Easter

It’s been exactly one year since the pandemic crashed our party. The DiVOC (german: Digital Verteiltes Online-Chaos, means Digital Distributed Online Chaos) will be celebrating its first anniversary under the motto Reboot to Respawn (R2R) and will allow us to have a place on the net to meet and exchange ideas. Framed from Good Friday to Easter Monday (02.04. – 05.04.2021) with a program of talks, art and music.  :-)

To ensure that you can communicate undisturbed and unwatched as usual, there will be again a telephone infrastructure, which will technically correspond to that of the rC3. The registration of extensions is already open.

SIP , Announcement and Eventphone Decentralized DECT Infrastructure (EPDDI) will be available.

For Chaos Studios, Hackerspaces & Chaostreffs we provide a small number of RFPs (antennae). As always, we need reliable contact persons to take care of the shipping and to make sure that we get the antennas back safely after the event. If you want to run an EPDDI cell, please read the EPDDI documentation (currently only in german) and provide a suitable router. Than contact us at poc ‘at’ eventphone.de. The shipment will take place on 22.03.2021.

From 22.03.2021 at the latest, the telephone infrastructure will also be up and running.

We will communicate fluctuations in the operating process via Twitter .

Wir spielen gerade ein sehr gefährliches Spiel auf unserem Planeten und jedes Mal, wenn wir sehen, dass es uns und unsere Lebensgrundlage zerstört, drücken wir dennoch immer wieder auf „continue“. So berichten Medien nur noch Pandemiezahlen und wann und ob die nächsten Impfungen kommen. Gleichzeitig wird vermittelt, wenn nur diese Pandemie vorbei wäre, dann wäre alles wieder in Ordnung. Aber wir wissen: mit der Klimakrise lauert eine noch viel größere Gefahr, gegen die keine Impfung und kein Lockdown helfen wird. In Wirklichkeit wird nur – wenn überhaupt – ein kompletter Reboot helfen, sowohl politisch als auch wirtschaftlich, sozial und auch kulturell. Wir haben nur eine Erde als Hardware und unser Life-Support läuft aus.

Dabei ist die Diskussion, ob etwas getan werden muss, ehrlich gesagt auch schon durch. Deshalb muss jetzt endlich darüber geredet werden, was getan werden soll und wie. Und so ist das Motto des DiVOC zu Ostern „Reboot to Respawn“.

Daher freuen wir uns ganz besonders über Einreichungen, die sich konkret mit Lösungen auseinandersetzen: Es geht um Soziales, um Städte- und Verkehrsplanung, um Wirtschaft und Arbeitssysteme, um die Agrarindustrie im Speziellen, die gesamte Umwelt im Allgemeinen und mit welchen technischen Lösungen wir das hacken können. Damit untrennbar verwoben ist auch Kunst und Kultur, denn ohne sie geht am Ende auch nichts und wir suchen auch Einreichungen zu diesen Themen.

Natürlich sind wir immer noch das Chaos und zu unserer Kultur gehören auch Einreichungen zu brennenden Druckern, zu Blinken, Tweeten, Tröten, Hupen und Winken. Selbst in der finstersten Krise darf und soll auch der Spass am Gerät nicht zu kurz kommen, wollen wir uns am gemeinschaftlichen Hacken freuen und uns gegenseitig unseren coolen (Un)Fug zeigen.

Und das macht auch besonders viel Spaß mit guter Mucke, also her mit Vorschlägen, damit wir im Lounge-Programm ein wenig entspannen oder abshaken können.

Einreichungen

Aufgrund der wirklich kurzen Fristen könnt ihr diesmal nur einreichen, wenn ihr euch selbst einen Account im pretalx anlegt. Die Einreichung fürs DiVOC#r2r findet ihr unter diesem Link. Dabei solltet ihr einen Titel angeben, eine/n Autor/in sowie Kontaktmöglichkeiten und, ganz wichtig, eine kurze Inhaltsangabe eures Talks. Geringfügige Änderungen an Titel und Inhaltsangabe werden auch noch später möglich sein. Einreichungen mit nur einer “Platzhalter-Inhaltsangabe” müssen wir leider ignorieren.

Vorträge und Musik, Workshops

Dieser Aufruf ist nur für Vorträge und Musik, die im Vortrags- und Loungeprogramm gestreamt werden sollen. Für andere Formen der Teilnahme wie selbstorganisierte Sessions, interaktive Workshops oder was euch noch so einfällt, wird es in naher Zukunft weitere Informationen geben.

Euer Beitrag beim DiVOC Reboot to Respawn

Euer Beitrag wird vom VOC (live) gestreamed. Bei Vorträgen möchten wir gern mit euch eine Live-Q&A-Session machen. Der Vortrag wird im Anschluss auf media.ccc.de zum Anschauen und Herunterladen zur Verfügung stehen. Wir gehen deshalb davon aus, das ihr über alle notwendigen Rechte für eine solche Veröffentlichung verfügt.

Call For Participation: Reboot to Respawn (r2r) (2nd – 5th of April 2021)

This year’s first DiVOC, the #r2r, will be taking place from Good Friday to Easter Monday, 2nd – 5th of April 2021. Practical solutions for the ongoing climate and social crisis will be the main topics, however, as always, we also appreciate talks on cultural and technical topics. It is a very dangerous game we’re playing on our planet, and although we seem to realize, at least from time to time, that we’re destroying the planet, we still keep pressing “continue”. The media are only talking about the pandemic and if and when the next vaccinations are due. At the same time the general impression is that if only this pandemic was over then everything would be just fine again. But we know better: The Climate Crisis is looming large, and it’s a much greater danger, for which there will be no vaccination available, whichever way, nor will any simple lockdown help. No, the only thing that will help is a full reboot – politically, economically, socially and culturally. We only have this one planet as our hardware, and our life support is running low.

To be honest, the argument if we should be doing something about this is concluded. What we need now is to talk about what to do, and when and how to do it. Which brings us to the theme of this Easter time DiVOC “Reboot to Respawn”.

Accordingly, we’re particularly looking forward to submissions that deal with tangible proposals. We’re talking social themes here, but also traffic and city planning, economy and work, the environment in general and the agroindustrial complex in particular, and which technical solutions we could use to hack them. And that includes, of course, art and cultural aspects, because we’re in need of those, too, so we’re also looking for submissions in this field.

And of course we’re still the Chaos, and part of our own culture are submissions on printers on fire, on blinking lights, on toots, tweets, honks and waving cats. Even in the darkest hours of the pandemic we want to have fun with our devices, we want to socialize and hack together and show each other the cool stuff we’ve been doing.

That goes particularly well with some good music, so give us your proposals and your music lists, so we can relax in the lounge or maybe do some after-work shakin’ …

Talk and Music, Workshops

This CfP is only for talks, presentations and music that will be streamed as part of the talk and lounge programs. We’ll provide more information about other forms of participation, like self-organized sessions, interactive workshops, or whatever else you can think of, in a couple of days.

Your Contribution at DiVOC Reboot to Respawn

Your contribution will be streamed (live) by VOC . For talks we would like to have a live Q&A with you right after. Shortly after DiVOC, the recording of the talk will be made available for viewing and download on media.ccc.de . We therefor assume that you have all necessary rights for such publication.

Submission Process

Due to the really tigh schedule you may only submit your paper after creating your own account on pretalx under this link . Submissions must contain a title, author name(s), contact details and, most important, a brief abstract. It will be possible to make minor edits to title and abstract until the full paper submission deadline. Sorry, but submissions with “placeholder” abstracts will be removed without consideration.
