Pixel 5a Leaks: Release Date, Price, Specifications, Features & More

      pubsub.do.nohost.me / FossBytes · Friday, 26 March, 2021 - 08:38 · 5 minutes

    Pixel 5a leaks and rumors

The Google Pixel 4a was a huge success in the budget segment last year.

Even though there were some undercuts , the smartphone is largely liked by people and experts alike. The smartphone has an OLED display, the iconic Pixel camera, the Pixel experience and is upgradable to Android 12; all of this for $350.

Now, according to some rumors, Google is planning to bring another budget smartphone this year — the Google Pixel 5a.

In this article, we will talk about all the Google Pixel 5a leaks such as its release date, specifications, new features, and more. Essentially, everything you need to know about the upcoming budget smartphone from Google.

Google Pixel 5a? Will there be a Google Pixel 5a 5G

While there is not much info on the Google Pixel 5a right now, its arrival is certainly confirmed. In the Android 12 developer preview, there is a mention of “Pixel 5a:GR0M2”.

Interestingly, the alphanumeric word GROM2 (which appears to be the Pixel 5a model number) also appeared later on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, thus further confirming the existence of the Google Pixel 5a.

Now, the question is whether there will be a Google Pixel 5a 5G variant or not. As of now, there are no Pixel 5a leaks delving into this information, however, we are hoping there will be a 5G variant.

    Pixel 5a Release Date

According to leaker Jon Prosser, the Google Pixel 5a launch is scheduled for June 11. However, take this with a grain of salt as there isn’t much evidence around the claim. That being said, it’s likely that the Google Pixel 5a will launch around the same time.

If we go back, the Google Pixel 3a was launched in May at Google’s yearly developer conference. The Pixel 4a was supposedly planned to launch in May of last year as well, however, the COVID-19 happened. The Google I/O 2020 got canceled and the smartphone was eventually launched in August.

Since the virus hasn’t gone entirely, Google might keep the Pixel 5a launch in August. But it might come earlier than that.

    Pixel 5a Price

There are no leaks around the price of the Google Pixel 5a so it’s all in the air. However, it will most likely be between $400 and $450.

The Google Pixel 3a was launched for $400 in the US. Last year, Google reduced the price and launched the Google Pixel 4a at $350, while the 4a 5G was launched at $499.

It would make sense if Google doesn’t increase the price too much. The Pixel 4a “gave good results” due to its affordable prices in India, a Google executive told ET .

Since Google plans to increase its presence in India, keeping the Google Pixel 5a launch price between $400 and $450 would be an ideal choice.

The executive also said the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 weren’t launched in India due to the hardware cost and the fact that 5G is yet to arrive in the country. If there will be a Pixel 5a 5G variant, it won’t most likely arrive in India.

    Pixel 5a Design

Up until now, there has only been one major Pixel 5a leak about how the device would look, and it is as we expected. According to leaked renders shared by Steve Hemmerstoffer, the Pixel 5a will be nearly identical to the current Pixel 4a 5G.

Steve says the Pixel 5a is just 2.3mm longer, 0.8mm narrower, and 0.6mm thicker than the Pixel 4a 5G. Apart from that, it will have a 6.2-inch OLED FHD+ from the Pixel 4a 5G but will have a little thicker bezel at the bottom.

It will have a “unibody (likely plastic made) rear panel” which seems different from the plastic panel used in the Pixel 3a and Pixel 4a.

All in all, it appears that Google won’t be putting much effort into the Pixel 5a design. Based on the current Pixel 5a leaks, the upcoming budget smartphone from Google will mostly be repackaged Pixel 4a 5G.

    Pixel 5a Camera

According to Steve, the Google Pixel 5a will have a dual-camera setup but it will be the “same configuration as seen on the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5.” In other words, you can expect the same 12.2MP primary camera along with a 16MP ultra-wide camera.

However, there will still likely be some new camera features, which we will see on Google Pixel 6 as well.

Apart from this, the Pixel 5a will still have a punch-hole camera. According to 9to5Google , the punch hole will likely be a little smaller — 55-pixel radius instead of 65 pixels. However, we don’t think there will be changes to the sensor. In other words, Google will likely go with the standard 8 MP selfie camera.

    Pixel 5a Specifications

The Google Pixel 5a will likely have typical specs that are usually found on the Pixel budget series, such as a 3.5mm headphone jack, rear fingerprint sensor, speaker grill on the top, two cutouts at the bottom for the main speaker, and a USB-C port.

There is no information on what processor the Pixel 5a will be using, but we are hoping it will be a good one since the performance was one of the biggest complaints on the Pixel 4a. The Pixel 5a will likely go with Snapdragon 732 which is the successor to Snapdragon 730G used in the current Pixel 4a.

Meanwhile, if there will be a Google Pixel 5a 5G variant, it will likely have Snapdragon 768G since the current 4a 5G is running its predecessor Snapdragon 765G.

Other than that, the Pixel 5a will likely have the same 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Here’s what the the Pixel 5a specifications might look like —

    Specifications Google Pixel 5a
    Display 6.2-inch OLED
OS Android 11, One UI 3.1
    Processor Snapdragon 732
    RAM 8GB
    Storage 128GB
    Battery N/A
    Rear Camera 12.2MP + 16MP
    Front Camera 8MP
    Water Protection IP68
    Starting Price $449

Call Of Duty WWII Vanguard: Release Date, Reveal, & More

      pubsub.do.nohost.me / FossBytes · Wednesday, 24 March, 2021 - 07:05 · 2 minutes

Call Of Duty 2021 Release Date, Reveal, & Everything You Need To Know

Recently, during the Earnings Call on February 4, Activision Blizzard confirmed a new Call of Duty title for 2021, which is rumored to be called Call of Duty WWII: Vanguard. So, it’s quite clear that we are getting a new Call of Duty title this year.

Call of Duty Warzone, Activision’s free-to-play title, worked incredibly well in 2020; and millions of players are still playing the game in 2021. Moreover, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War , the standalone COD title of 2020, garnered even more players for the franchise. In 2021, the studio is set to bring a new “premium” experience to the franchise.

    Call Of Duty WWII: Vanguard

A couple of days back, a rumor surfaced on the internet stating that 2021’s Call of Duty title will take us back to World War II. Moreover, according to the sources, the game’s title is Call of Duty WWII: Vanguard. However, this is the working title, meaning that Activision would change the name to something else as they move ahead in the game’s development.

The report also states several cutscenes of Call of Duty WWII: Vanguard will be set in the 1950s. Nevertheless, it’s important to understand that these are just rumors, so it’s better to take this information with a pinch of salt.

COD WWII: Vanguard Expected Release Date

Officially, the new Call of Duty 2021 title doesn’t have a specific release window. However, considering past Activision records, it’s safe to assume that the upcoming COD title might release in October/November.

    Call Of Duty 2021 Reveal

Last year, Activision Blizzard announced the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War in August. Generally, each year, Activision reveals the new Call of Duty title in May. However, the COD: Black Ops Cold War got a bit delayed because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

If we look at the past trend, Activision might reveal the new Call of Duty 2021 in May this year. Furthermore, we’ll possibly see a short teaser for the game around the same time.

    Integration With Warzone

Last year, Activision merged three of its titles, i.e., Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Modern Warfare, and Warzone . This integration worked incredibly well for the studio as well as the players. Fortunately, according to Activision’s latest earnings call, the studio will follow the same trend, with the new Call of Duty coming in 2021.

Rob Kostich, Activision’s President, confirmed that the Call of Duty 2021 title would run parallel to Warzone. Moreover, there are chances that Warzone’s integration with the new COD 2021 title, might urge Activision to exclude Modern Warfare from the bundle. Either that or players will get the option to download the content of four games altogether.

Studio: Who’s Developing The New COD WWII Vanguard Game?

Officially, we don’t know which studio will develop the upcoming Call of Duty game. Last year’s Black Ops Cold War was developed by Treyarch. However, as per some rumors , the mantle to develop the upcoming COD title will be handed over to Sledgehammer Games. For those who don’t know, Sledgehammer Games is well known for its various Call of Duty titles, including 2017’s Call of Duty: WWII.

So, that’s all we know about Activision’s new Call of Duty 2021 title. We’ll update the article if we get some further information on the game.

Gotham Knights Leaks Release Date, Characters, & Everything Else You Should Know

WB Games Montréal announced the upcoming Batman game, Gotham Knights, in DC FanDome 2020. Previously, WB Games Montréal worked on Batman Arkham Origins, which both players and critics loved. So, it’s understandable why DC fans are excited for the release of Gotham Knights.

After watching Gotham Knights’ trailer, it is easy to figure out that many things are happening in Gotham. There are multiple playable characters in the game, along with a bunch of familiar DC villains. In short, there are several things you should learn about Gotham Knights before this upcoming 2021 video game is released. So, in this article, we’ll round up every piece of information we’ve gathered about Gotham Knights. So let’s get started.

    Gotham Knights Release Date

Gotham Knights will release worldwide in 2022. However, as of now, there is no particular official release date for the game. Initially, WB Games Montréal wanted to release the co-op title in 2021. However, recently, the devs announced that they need more to deliver the game. That’s why the studio decided to delay the game to 2022. “We are giving the game more time to deliver the best possible experience for players,” said the developers in their recent post.

The good news is that we’d see more Gotham Knights stuff in the coming months. However, it’s for sure that the game isn’t releasing in 2021.

Srevious rumors oreviously stated that Gotham Knights might release in July 2021. These speculations surfaced on the internet after Gotham Knights’ Twitter post for Christmas 2020. The post flaunts a Flying Greysons’ circus event that is happening in mid-July. That is why some DC games enthusiasts thought that WB Games Montréal is hinting at a possible July release date for Gotham Knights. Sadly, with the game’s dleay to 2022, all these speculations are now turned to dust.

    Platforms

WB Games Montréal’s ‘Gotham Knights’ is set to release for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5. So, both current and last-gen console users will get to experience the game.

    Gotham Knights Characters

Gotham Knights Story: Is The Game Set In Arkhamverse?

No, it’s confirmed that Gotham Knights is not connected to the Batman Arkham Series. Despite the similarity between Batman: Arkham Knight and Gotham Knights’ story (Batman’s Death), the two games don’t fall in the same universe.

Talking about the story, the events of Gotham knights are set after the death of Batman. So, to continue Bruce Wayne’s legacy and save Gotham, Night Wing, Batgirl, Red Hood, and Robin come together. Interestingly, Gotham Knights’ story will be completely original, meaning that Gotham Knights will not re-enact existing DC comics stories.

    Co-op

As per Gotham Knights’ trailers, there will be at least four playable characters in the game. So, it makes sense to include co-op options for up to four players. However, as of now, it’s confirmed that the cooperative feature will be limited to only two players.

If you’re playing the game online, the other player can join the session without affecting the story. Nevertheless, if you don’t feel like playing the game with your friend, you can play it solo in the offline mode.

    Is Gotham Knights Open-World?

Yes, Gotham Knights is an open-world game in which players can interact with Gotham City in their own way. Other than that, the new Batman game features the RPG element. So, similar to other role-playing games, players’ choices will reflect in the story of Gotham Knights.

    Is Gotham Knights Pre-Order Available?

Fortunately, the pre-order for Gotham Knights is available on some online video game stores. However, there isn’t a pre-order option on the Gotham Knights official website. Moreover, you can sign up for all Gotham Knights updates by registering on the game’s official website .

That’s it; this is all the information we have on Gotham Knights right now. Of course, we’ll get more updates on the new Batman game as we step in 2021. So, we’ll update the article accordingly to bring you the latest update on Gotham Knights.

Originally, when Riot announced League of Legends Mobile in October 2019, the studio wanted to release it in 2020. Unfortunately, developers had to delay the release because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

League Of Legends Wild Rift Beta

Riot Games launched the closed beta for League of Legends: Wild Rift last year in September. The closed beta was available in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.

A month later, in October 2020, League of Legends Wild Rift Open Beta was available in Japan, South Korea, and the countries mentioned above.

The game features multiple champion abilities that players can access through buttons on the screen. Moreover, the semi-lock camera function will allow players to pan the camera view. That will allow players to explore areas beyond their line-of-sight.

Of course, Wild Rift will go through some major changes in terms of gameplay and controls before its global release.

Riot already confirmed several League Of Legends PC champions for Wild Rift. The Wild Rift champions list includes Ahri, Akali, Miss Fortune, Ashe, Corki, Darius, Ramus, Draven, Garen, Jax, Janna, Jarvan, Kai’Sa, K/Da, Katarina, Seraphine, Kennen, Lee Sin, Lulu, Tristiana, Amumu, Dr. Mundo, Singed, Sona, Teemo, Varus, Wukong, and more.
