Every Title Coming to Star on Disney+ in Australia At Launch

This month hails a new era of content on Disney+. The new ‘Star’ hub will launch on the platform on February 23, providing a space for Disney’s more mature content.
Star is set to bring nearly 450 new movies and 155 TV series to the platform, basically doubling the size of the existing content library. To compensate for this, the price of Disney+ is also going up (details on that, here ). There is a workaround if you want t o hold onto cheaper prices for a while, however.
There’s some great new stuff to choose from including the Deadpool movies, Love Victor, Titanic, Alien and Die Hard, so that price hike looks like it’ll be worth it. To see if your favourite show or movie is hitting Disney+, however, we’ve compiled a list of all 600+ titles that will be hitting Star in Australia at launch.
Still with me after all that? That is every single one of the 600 titles coming to Disney+’s new Star content hub. Get your watch list ready because they’ll be hitting your screen in a few weeks on February 23.

The 7-Year Time Jump in Riverdale, Explained

Greetings reader, we are back with an update on the wildest show in the west, Riverdale . The latest episode of season 5 saw a huge seven-year time jump take place and it has us wondering, did this somehow make Riverdale. .. better?
Well, let’s not make bold claims, but if you dropped off from watching Riverdale, here’s what you need to know before diving back in.
The last time we saw the gang (one week ago) they were graduating high school and moving off to a land of promising futures.
Archie was joining the army, Betty, Veronica and Jughead went off to college and Cheryl stayed in Riverdale to clean up her family’s image.
Sounds like a pretty nice place to wrap up the series right? Wrong.
Who knows if it was due to the pandemic shutdown or not, but Riverdale returned to production with an ambitious 7-year time jump. Yes, it’s true, the cast members are now acting their age.
Leaving the high school arena behind, Riverdale has a whole new feel. So if you’d fallen off the Riverdale bandwagon, now is a good a time to jump back on.
Here’s what all the characters are doing in season 5 now:
Just in case you were wondering, which I know you were, everyone’s favourite character Pop is still around, he’s just retired.
After 7-years there’s some fresh blood in town. To save you frantically searching the internet for actor filmographies, allow me to introduce these new cast members.
Veronica’s husband Chad Gekko is played by Chris Mason. You may recognise him from Broadchurch or Dirty John . Betty’s new love interest and boss, known only as ‘Glen’ is played by Greyston Holt who you’ll know from The 100, Batwoman or basically any other CW show. Lastly, Erinn Westbrook ( Glee) plays Tabitha Tate, Pop Tate’s granddaughter who is working at the family diner.
Now, I know you’re probably worried that the show is done with its random musical numbers, over the top murder mysteries or cringe-worthy teen angst. But you have nothing to fear because there is still unnecessary singing and everyone broke up so there is still angst. Plus a whole new serial killer is on the loose who may just have the best stupid name in history: the Trash Bag Killer (TBK).
So, the bottom line is that Riverdale is back on its bullshit but all grown up and you should absolutely tune in for it .

‘The Nevers’ Looks Like Bridgerton With Superheroes and It’s Coming to Australia

HBO’s The Nevers might just be the next big TV show to obsess over. The 6-episode fantasy drama from HBO just debuted its first teaser and it looks mighty good. But a constant question in Australia is: how can we watch it?
Well, the good news is that there is a time and a place for The Nevers .
Before we get into how you can watch this great new show, allow us to tell you why you should watch this great new show.
The Nevers is created and produced by Joss Whedon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and a producing team who has worked on shows such as Game of Thrones, Girls and The Defenders, so you already know you’re in for a good time.
Basically, the show is a fantasy drama set in the Victorian era, featuring a cast of people with supernatural abilities. Bridgerton with superheroes? Sign me up.
The synopsis for the show says:
In the last years of Queen Victoria’s reign, London is beset by the “Touched”: people – mostly women – who suddenly manifest abnormal abilities – some charming, some very disturbing. Among them are Amalia True, a mysterious, quick-fisted widow, and Penance Adair, a brilliant young inventor.
They are the champions of this new underclass, making a home for the Touched, while fighting the forces of… well, pretty much all the forces – to make room for those whom history as we know it has no place.
The show features a huge female cast including Laura Donnelly, Ann Skelly, Olivia Williams, Amy Manson, Pip Torrens and Elizabeth Tomlinson. There’s also James Norton, Tom Riley and Nick Frost to look out for.
